New Owner

Hi this is just a quick introduction. My name is Carol and I have taken over from Gillian in running handmade craft ideas.

You have probably noticed (if you've visited before) that the whole look and feel of the site has changed. I hope you consider it for the better :)

I am in the process of rearranging things and will be adding much more content about various crafts over the coming weeks. You will find how-to projects and a mine of information.

How long have I been crafting? How long is a piece of string? Seriously, since I was a kid I have always had something crafty on the go. As I am now a grandmother you can see that is a long, long time!

Speak soon, work to be done.

Do come back and visit again.

A New Improved Site!

Hi and welcome! This is to let you know that the site has under gone a bit of a revamp. I have introduced some changes that focus more on what I am about and what the website should be for. I felt it was too generalised craft based. My passion is jewellery and cards. While I realise this may not suit all my visitors, I feel it will enhance your experience of visiting the site.
The emphasis is now on providing you with the BEST quality and FINEST products in handcrafted cards, gifts and jewellery.
Look out for the Freedom Collection coming soon!

Daily blog

Welcome to Wednesdays blog. A busy day with being a school working day. This is a very quick post as hubby has decided he is whisking me away on the bike tonight for a local meet. It's such a lovely evening i couldn't refuse. It does mean that the next lot of Crafters articles will now be delayed until tomorrow though! Have a look through the pages of Handmade Craft Ideas for some more inspiration. Some of you may have thought of starting your own business craft or otherwise. If that's you then don't miss the articles about setting up online. Using the Nav bar just click Online Business or Crafty Success to find the best way to start up. You will read the success stories of others and be inspired to take action i'm sure!
So until tomorrow, bye for now. Gill

Daily blog

Hello, here is todays blog. Well up nice and early this morning and got quite a bit of work done on my websites :)
Picked up eldest son and went out for lunch for his birthday - 24! Makes me feel soooo old - "sigh"
We did some window shopping too! We were looking at some of the jewellery in a certain well known store. Although some of it is really nice it's made very cheaply in the far east and mostly from plastics and resins. Trouble is that's my competition and it's the discerning buyer that knows the difference! I only use semi-precious stones, crystal, glass and shell. It's all carefully and thoughtfully made by little old me!
Tomorrow i will be adding some more of your contributions to Crafters. Send yours in and see YOUR name in print!
Til Wednesday enjoy your crafting and i'll see you then. Gill
